Finally we got to board a plane and leave at 2:30 p.m. Yep, that was 6 hours of fun!!
But it didn't end there. Since we obviously missed our connecting flight in San Fransisco...we had to play the waiting game again in San Fran. This time we had a bigger airport to roam and play in-a food court, a couple of moving sidewalks, a kids play area and some gift shops.
We finally left San Fran at about 8 p.m. and made it back to Orange County by 9:30 p.m. Needless to say, we were WIPED OUT!!!
Our trip to Reno is one we will never forget. I hope the girls will always remember the great memories we made in Reno. And I hope Sabrina will realize how proud we are of her and her running accomplishments this year. Our family NEVER gets to go on trips like this and this trip was HUGE for us. So forgive us as you are talking with us and we all of the sudden bring up something about Reno. It was filled with firsts for us: first airplane rides, first time competeing on a national level, first time in snow (snow angels, eating it, icicles, coldness, wet), first time we have recieved such a random act of kindness, and many other firsts. We are so grateful for the blessing of going to Reno and hope you have enjoyed reliving it with us.
THE END.
P.S. Next year's Junior Olympics is in Alabama...somehow I don't think we will be going?!

Such a fun documentation to a great trip.
...And a darling new blog header ta boot!
It made the season very special. I am so glad I got to go, and I am so proud of Sabrina. Tabitha was a great traveler, too and we had so much fun--even in the airport.
Love y'all Nana
