Christmas, New Years, and fun family time...It all happened!

So here is our Christmas break in a nutshell...

Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house. We always have a nice Prime Rib dinner complete with candles and Martinellis. Then there is the traditional opening of the Christmas jammies. No pictures of this...but just trust me when I say it was GREAT!

Christmas morning we spend some time at our own home and open gifts as a family. Me and the girls made Gian a cozy blankie.

Sabrina got the Wii Fit and balance board (very appropriate for that athletic girl). Tabitha loves hula-hooping on it...and I must say, she's pretty darn good!

Tabitha got a DS and Charlee got a shopping cart, which promptly got filled up with anything and everything and pushed around the house.

Then it was back to my parent's house for Christmas breakfast and opening gifts there.

Nap time for most of the rest of the day!

But we all finally came back to life for dinner.

So, that, my friends, was our exciting Christmas.

We also celebrated Christmas with the Del Bello family in true Italian style - PASTA!! It was a fun evening and it was great to get together.

Next up...filling up two weeks with exciting family adventures.

A HUGE highlight of our Christmas vacation was that we took Sabrina and Tabitha to see Mary Poppins at the Ahmanson Theater. I cannot find our pictures from that evening...but, again, I guarantee it was a definate HIT!!! Mary Poppins is one of my favorite Disney movies and characters...I was most definately going to see it on stage when I heard it was coming to L.A. It was WONDERFUL and I would love to see it again (hint, hint). Tabitha loved watching Mary fly at the end...her chin hit the ground. It was Practically Perfect in Every Way!!!!

Sabrina got to see her best friend, Megan, at church. (She was here visiting from Arizona.)

We went with Nana and Papa to Chick-Fil-A for lunch one day and thought it was pretty funny when Charlee would come to the window and smash her face on it...she is one silly little girl!

On another day we took a little day trip to Irvine to the new Pretend City museum.

Love this cute kids museum. It was so fun. Lots of make-believe stuff to do. It's definately for the younger crowd - Sabrina was pushing it, age wise (9 years old). But together the girls had a great time.

I think it was Charlee's goal to find every car in the place and hog it and make other kids cry because she wouldn't give it up...good times with a non-sharing 2 year old! (just look at that devilish grin)

Meanwhile, Sabrina and Tabitha were busy working the post office or building a new home.

After the museum we took the kids (and my mom) to Farrells Ice Cream Parlor in Mission Viejo. Yes, folks, it's back and just as fun AND YUMMY as ever!!

We also went with cousins to see Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Squeakquel. The movie was filmed at Wilson High School, right next to our house...so, of course we HAD to go see it. It was fun seeing our neighborhood in the movie!

And finally we celebrated the New Year. Only a few kids made it to midnight, but we partied it up anyways! We always go outside and bang pots and pans and do the cracker firework thinggys.

Happy 2010!!!!

Sounds like a fun filled Christmas Break! Your girls are so cute! Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I laughed when you said Charlee wouldn't give up the cars and made others cry. I love it!

We had to see Alvin and the Chipmunks too. That kids museum looks awesome. You know I'd be there if I could.

Amy, First off, such fun holiday activities. This post reminded me that I need to take my kids to that museum in Irvine! It sounds fantastic!

Second, I got your message. It came up as a blocked number, so I thought I would just leave a comment. No worries about Saturday. I am sorry your little one is sick. Just let me know if you want to do a little mini family session sometime and we can put one together!
Take Care.
