One busy evening!!!

Tonight was BUSY!!!!

First, I went to get my hair cut. Thanks Megan for making me look like a million bucks once again. Wow....I'm in total amazement with that girl and her magic scissorhands!!! What talent!!

Then I went with my mom and some friends from her ward to hear a FABULOUS speaker.

Pamela Hansen wrote this life-changing (for me) book called "Running With Angels". (She just came out with another book that I can not wait to get my hands on!) It's about this woman's journey of overcoming tragedy and obesity. She metaphors it with running a marathon. For those of you who know me well, know that I struggle with lots of things and especially my weight. I read this book over a year ago and was totally motivated to make changes...and I did UNTIL I got pregnant and then I went downhill again! But now I am ready and I really needed that motivation and inspiration once again. She came to speak just at the right time in my life! I am tired of being on the sidelines cheering for my running family...it's time for me to join in and run (or walk) too. But even more than that, it's time for me to be ME!! It's so hard to take time for myself...but I will be a happier me if I do take time for me. My family will be there to cheer me on, just like I do for them!!! So what's step one??? I guess it's to put on my shoes everyday and step away from my hectic life and walk and rejuvenate myself. So wish me luck as I start all over again and try to become the best me I can be! (And maybe even finish a marathon someday.)

Meanwhile, Gian was in charge of the girls...yes, all three. He had Open House duty. Tonight was Tincher School's Open House. So he got the girls all dressed up, took them out to dinner and then to the school to see what Sabrina's been up to. He was such a trooper to take them all, take pictures and even do a little teacher shopping for next year. From what he tells me it was a good evening. Here's some pictures:

Sabrina, Mrs. Lockerman, and Tabitha

Sabrina with her project on "Who's my Hero?" So guess who her hero is? Yeah, her dad...she has been a Daddy's girl from day one!!! I love the replica of her dad...note the laptop bag hanging on his shoulder and his badge around his neck. So cute!!

I would be in big trouble if I didn't put up this picture of Sabrina's dinosaur diarama. The dinosaur thing was BIG in her class. (Funny thing....I CAN NOT stand dinosaurs...they scare me! It took alot for me to listen to her talk about dinosaurs all the time.)

So...there you have it. One busy night. Tomorrow Gian, Sabrina and Tabitha are going to San Diego for a track meet for Sabrina. It's just gonna be me and Charlee....wow, what will I do?!? I've got a few things going on (which is why I'm not going with them) but one things for sure...I'm putting on my shoes and going for a walk with my baby!

'til later!

You know that with me it is family first...but I knew how much you wanted to hear Pamela Hansen, so I was glad that you gave up Open House so you could go to RS Women's
Conference in Cypress. She is inspiring and I support you all the way in your renewed efforts. I wish I was closer so we could walk together...maybe Monday & Friday.
Loved the dinosaur diorama!!
Love ya Mom

I love that book- read it myself and it is inspirational and motivating! I have faith in you to be a mover and a fighter! =) Put on your iPod and walk away! ...and keep positive thoughts. When I say a prayer before I walk it helps to stay focused on blessings I have in my life and that's what I focus on when I am movin'.

I'm going to have to get this book and read it. I am trying to get ready to walk a 5k (not a big deal to most people but it is to me) I understand how hard it is to get moving but once you are on a roll it really is amazing how much better you feel. I'll be thinking about you as you get out and move!
