Reno - Day 2 - Planetarium and Opening Ceremonies

Gian and Sabrina went on the course walk through in the morning. When they got back we decided to go on a little field trip to the University Planetarium. On our way up there we got into a little snowball fight.

The Planetarium was full of fun exhibits for the girls to experience. One of our favorites was the Albert Einstein head the seemed to watch you wherever you moved. We also watched a movie about horses and cowboys...Sabrina was in heaven!

On our way back to the hotel, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make snow angels. I was pretty impressed with how good they turned out.

While the girls did that, Gian and I picked off icicles and had a little winter's snack.

We all got a kick out of the price of gas in Reno (look carefully).

Later that evening we went to the Opening Ceremonies of the Junior Olympics. It was amazing sight to see as all the kids marching in according to what Region they were from..drum corp pounded out a march, the 3000+ kids walked in and a ton of families, coaches and friends watched. Ryan and Sara Hall were guest speakers. And the evening finished with the athletes taking their oath.
